About Youssry Henien
Youssry Henien previously directed a Royal Family Office in Saudi Arabia. He also opened and became a major shareholder in Egypt Trust Securities, a stock brokerage firm that became the fourth largest in the country and which he later sold. At BNP, Youssry Henien chaired meetings of the private banking board, sets the board’s annual agendas, and in general organizes and coordinates the board’s activities. He also oversees the crucial responsibility of selecting and appointing the company’s senior manager and reviewing his or her performance in that office. Youssry Henien’s financial duties at BNP were to include ensuring the availability of financial resources in addition to approving the annual budget and making sure financial targets are met.
Youssry Henien attended high school in Cairo and then attended the American University of Beirut, earning a bachelor of arts in biochemistry. Outside of work, he is passionate about polo, being descended from generations of horse-lovers. He also enjoys spending his free time swimming and reading.
